Rainey Petrie Architecture act as Technical Advisers on projects under the Private Finance Initiative or Public Private Partnerships. The past Local Government experience of our personnel, some of whom are former Chief Officers in Local Government, gives them a detailed knowledge of Local Authority building types, combined with experience of working within both the public and private sector cultures.

The company has acted successfully for both the client side and the contracting sides, giving the team an understanding of the issues of this developing procurement method from both points of view.

As architects, the lead technical advisors are able to ensure design quality is properly dealt with in these projects. The team advised on the Manchester Magistrates' Courts project, one of the first where CABE was involved in promoting high quality design.
